Statue of Urban II

Failing the Statue of Liberty, Champagne has the statue of Pope Urban II who watches over the Champagne vineyards. Raised in 1887, this colossal statue of Pope Urban II culminates at 33 meters. If it is not strictly speaking visited, it is nevertheless worth the detour, d'autant que sa table d'orientation permet d'embrasser du regard toute la vallée et repérer 22 surrounding villages.

MEMORIAL OF THE BATTLE OF THE MARNE 1914-1918

Grandiose monument, built between 1921 et 1931, on a site chosen by Marshal Foch, to commemorate the two battles of the Marne. It is one of 4 national monuments of France dedicated to the soldiers of the First World War.

THE MILL FROM UPPER
